Welcome to OBEN. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and your engagement with OBEN ("we," "our," or "us"), including inquiries, acquisitions, commissions, and experiences.

By accessing this website or engaging with OBEN, you agree to these Terms.

OBEN is a studio practice creating sculptural sound works, limited editions, commissions, and installations.

All works are developed and produced by OBEN and may be offered as:

  • Limited editions

  • One-of-one commissions

  • Installations or experiential works

Each work is considered both a functional object and a piece of art.

2. Use of Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with its operation or integrity.

You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute content without permission

  • Use the site in a way that could damage or impair functionality

3. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, imagery, designs, concepts, and works — is the property of OBEN unless otherwise stated.

This includes:

  • Sculptural designs

4. Inquiries and Engagement

Submitting an inquiry does not constitute a purchase or agreement.

All acquisitions, commissions, and installations are:

  • Subject to availability

  • Confirmed through direct communication

  • Finalized through separate agreements, invoices, or contracts

OBEN reserves the right to accept or decline any inquiry.

5. Commissions and Custom Work

Commissioned works are highly customized and developed in close collaboration with the client.

Because of the nature of this work:

  • All commission terms, pricing, and timelines are defined individually

  • Deposits may be required to begin work

  • Custom works are generally non-refundable once production has begun

Additional terms may be outlined in a separate agreement.

6. Pricing and Payment

All pricing is provided directly by OBEN and may vary depending on:

  • Scale and complexity

  • Materials and fabrication

  • Installation requirements

Payments may include deposits, milestone payments, or full payment depending on the project. Specific payment terms will be outlined at the time of engagement.

7. Shipping, Delivery, and Installation

OBEN works may require specialized handling, delivery, or installation.

Where applicable:

  • Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary

  • Installation may be required and coordinated directly

  • Clients are responsible for providing accurate site information

OBEN is not responsible for delays caused by external factors, including shipping carriers or site readiness.

8. Limited Editions

Limited edition works are produced in finite quantities.

Once an edition is closed:

  • No additional works from that edition will be produced

  • Each piece may include identifying details such as edition number or provenance

Variations may occur due to the handcrafted nature of the work.

9. Disclaimer

OBEN provides this website and its content "as is."

While we aim for accuracy, we do not guarantee that:

  • All information is complete or current

  • The website will be uninterrupted or error-free

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OBEN is not liable for:
