THE ARTISTS
OBEN is the work of two people. Built by hand, conceived together, inseparable in the making.
MICHAEL "BRONX" SANFILIPPO
Sound is a memory trying to take shape.
Bronx is a songwriter, producer, and film composer signed to Roc Nation, with more than a decade creating music at the highest level across genres and mediums.
Most high-end audio is built by engineers who understand sound technically. Bronx understands it experientially. From years inside studios. From the moment when a track stops being a file and starts being a feeling. From the particular knowledge of where sound breaks, where it holds, where it becomes something more than signal.
He tunes every OBEN work by ear, guided by the standard of what he knows sound is capable of being. It is why people who hear OBEN for the first time often say the same thing: this is how it sounded in the studio. This is how I always wanted it to sound.
That standard is not a technical benchmark. It is a memory of what music feels like when nothing has been lost.
STEPHANIE "STEVIE" BAER
Form is movement suspended in time.
Stevie began her career as a professional dancer, performing internationally with Jiří Kylián at the Paris Opera, with David Dorfman Dance in New York, and in Sleep No More, the landmark immersive theater work that redefined how audiences inhabit space and narrative.
That experience of being inside an environment rather than observing it from outside became foundational to OBEN. Dance taught her that space is not neutral. That the way a body moves through a room changes what that room means. That form carries memory, and presence is something that can be designed.
Before co-founding OBEN she spent over a decade leading global creative and design teams across fashion, music, technology, and contemporary art. Every OBEN work is built toward environments that are transformative rather than merely beautiful.
TOGETHER
OBEN emerged from a shared investigation into sound, form, and the experience of time. Partners in life and in the studio, every work is conceived and fabricated by the two of them together. Sculptural craft, acoustic engineering, and spatial sound composition are developed as a single process.
The form, the frequency, and the score are inseparable.
